Vertical Farming Today interview

We caught up with Kirstie Pickering about our plans for 2023 and beyond. As well as sharing an update on our new vertical farm in Norfolk, which is set to open this summer, we talked productivity, energy and policy barriers, and the end game for vertical farming. 

Our ultimate goal of feeding the world with nutritional, high-calorie foods sits at the heart of everything we do at Fischer Farms. Growing leafy greens is just the start. As the technology develops, and we find a way of powering operations with low cost, sustainable energy sources, we will scale up to grow food staples, like rice, soy and wheat, at prices that compare favourably to field grown crops.
