Rural Economy Research Group’s parliamentary food security seminar

Our founder Tristan Fischer joined the Rural Economy Research Group’s parliamentary seminar on food security recently, in his capacity as a RERG Executive Committee Member.

Bringing together government, academics and agricultural leaders, the meeting discussed the importance of British food and the growing need for further strengthen our food supply chain and security.

Tristan, who joined the Rural Economy Research Group committee last year, introduced Fischer Farms’ vertical farming mission to attendees and highlighted the industry’s key challenges around energy, planning and accreditation.

Once again, it was an honour to sit on such an esteemed committee and play our part in bolstering our nations’ food resilience and shape the future of farming.
