Fischer Farms at the Vertical Farming World Congress
The Fischer Farms team was in Frankfurt last week attending the fifth Vertical Farming World Congress, organised by Zenith Global.
The Vertical Farming World Congress brings together vertical farming operators, investors, suppliers and customers to develop and advance the sector’s future. It features two days of conference sessions and networking from industry leaders.
Both our founder, Tristan, and our Non-Executive Director and investor, Peter Bachmann (Managing Director of the Sustainable Infrastructure division at Gresham House), were speakers at the event, addressing visitors on what the future holds for the vertical farming industry.
Tristan sat on the Industry Leadership panel discussion to share his insights on ‘Powering up for the future’, alongside Rick Vanzura, Chief Executive Officer of Freight Farms, Andreas Wilhelmsson, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Ljusgårda, Roel Janssen, Chief Business Officer of Planet Farms and Jesper Hansen, Chief Commercial Officer of YesHealth Group. They discussed scaling up, routes to market and innovative business models to help the industry succeed.
Peter also delivered an incredibly thought-provoking keynote speech on ‘what will it take for vertical farming to fulfil its potential’. From reduction in production costs to the integration of AI, you can read more about Peter’s thoughts on this topic on his Linkedin here.
